Production monitoring for electronics assembly and SMT lines

Printer, placement, reflow and test — where the loss profile is short stops and changeover, not long breakdowns.

How is OEE measured on an SMT line?

By counting boards in and out at each stage and capturing every stop, including the short ones a feeder or nozzle causes. Coneqt OEE reads state and counts from the printer, placement machines, reflow oven and test through a gateway on the existing controls, then reports availability, performance and quality per stage with a downtime Pareto that shows which stage starves the line. Pricing is ₹499–1,499 per machine per month.

What gets captured on an SMT line

Board counts in and out at each stage
Placement machine run, stop and idle state
Feeder and nozzle error events where the machine exposes them
Changeover duration between assemblies
Reflow oven zone state and energy draw
Test and AOI pass and fail counts

Where SMT time actually goes

Feeder and nozzle stops

Seconds each, hundreds a shift. They rarely reach a downtime log and routinely outweigh the breakdown that does.

Changeover between assemblies

High-mix lines change over constantly. Measured per assembly, setup becomes a scheduling decision rather than an argument.

Line balance

Which stage starves the next. Placement is blamed far more often than it is responsible.

Reflow warm-up and idle

An oven held at profile through a changeover draws close to running power while producing nothing.

What does it cost for 8 machines?

List pricing, nothing else. 8 machines on the Professional tier at ₹999 per machine per month, billed monthly with no lock-in. Gateway hardware, where a site needs it, is quoted separately and confirmed in writing before installation.

Worked example, excl. GST
₹7,992 / month
8 machines × ₹999 · Professional tier · ₹95,904 over twelve months
Questions

What people in this sector ask first

Does this cover semiconductor fabrication?

No. This is electronics assembly and SMT — printer, placement, reflow, AOI and test. Wafer fabrication is a different environment with different requirements, and we do not claim it.

Can it read placement machines from different vendors?

Where a machine exposes a data channel we read it; where it does not, state and counts are captured non-intrusively at the stage. Every machine is checked during scoping rather than promised in advance.

Can it count micro-stops under a minute?

Yes. Capturing stops that operators never log is the main reason the loss profile on an SMT line looks different once it is measured.
