For foundries

Energy and production monitoring for foundries

Melt furnaces, holding furnaces and moulding lines — where one asset can outspend the rest of the plant and nobody can prove it.

How is energy per tonne measured in a foundry?

By metering the melt and holding furnaces separately rather than reading one incomer for the whole site, then dividing against tonnes poured. A gateway reads furnace state and power draw alongside moulding line cycles from the existing panels and controls, so energy per tonne, holding time and moulding line availability are reported per heat and per shift instead of reconciled monthly from the electricity bill. Pricing is ₹499–1,499 per machine per month.

What it reads in a foundry

Furnace on, off and power stage
kW, kWh, power factor and peak demand per furnace
Holding duration between melt and pour
Moulding line cycle counts and run state
Downtime reasons on the moulding line
Tonnes poured per heat, where the weighing system exposes it

Where the cost actually sits

Holding furnace idle

Metal held at temperature while the moulding line is not ready. It burns energy at full rate and produces nothing, and it is invisible on a single site meter.

Energy per tonne drift

The same charge, the same alloy, a different figure heat to heat. Only comparable once the furnace is metered on its own.

Who waited for whom

Melt ready before the line, or the line ready before the melt — two different problems that look identical in a shift report.

Peak demand coincidence

Furnaces drawing together and setting the month’s maximum demand charge in a few minutes.

What does it cost for 6 machines?

List pricing, nothing else. 6 machines on the Professional tier at ₹999 per machine per month, billed monthly with no lock-in. Gateway hardware, where a site needs it, is quoted separately and confirmed in writing before installation.

Worked example, excl. GST
₹5,994 / month
6 machines × ₹999 · Professional tier · ₹71,928 over twelve months
Questions

What people in this sector ask first

Can it read an induction furnace panel?

Usually. Where the panel exposes a data channel we read it; where it does not, furnace state and consumption are metered electrically instead. Every asset is checked during scoping rather than promised in advance.

Do you work with the Coimbatore foundry cluster?

Coneqt is based in Coimbatore. The cluster is documented as roughly 535 foundries producing ferrous castings for automotive components, pump sets, wet grinders and textile machinery, consuming about 58,640 tonnes of oil equivalent a year, mostly electricity and coke (SAMEEEKSHA, BEE). We have no published customer references yet and do not claim any.

Is the hardware suitable for the melting bay?

Placement and enclosure rating are decided per area during scoping. Ambient temperature near a melt deck is a real constraint and is treated as one.
